CUGS03CD, readme.htm

June 20, 2003

To use this CD-ROM, use your web browser to open the file "index.html" in the root directory of the volume.

For Windows systems, we have included a .inf file and wiinopen.exe so the "index.html" file should open automatically by the default brawser.

For Macintosh OS 9 systems, we heve also specified the "index.html" file as autorun, so it should also be open by the default browser.

For Macintosh OS X systems, AutoStart CD is available through Mac OS's QuickTime Autostart. In order to AutoStart the CD, you need to start up the Classic Environment on Mac OS X. See: Apple's FAQ at http://devworld.apple.com/qa/qtpc/qtpc12.html

Sorry Unix users, providing this functionality is not something we can provide without coding an interface to do so. If you know of such an off-th-shelf solution, we'd love to hear about it.

This CD-ROM was created with Windows (Joliet), Macintosh (HFS) and Unix (Rockridge) file systems.

Notes on the CD-ROM directory and icons

If your Windows or Macintosh system does not "see" icons you can double click to open or if you wish to use an application other than the one associated with a file, then drag the file's icon onto the application icon or open the application and use its Open dialogue box to open the file. So for example, for the index.html file in the root directory, the user would drag it onto which ever browser he or she prefers or open it from within the browser: typically Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
