Abstract | QFT is a background file transport system across TCP/IP and DECnet networks. Transfers are user to user or user to printer. Users are notified via a terminal message when a file arrives for them. No passwords are necesary since files are always "pushed" only and the received files are held in a staging area until the user runs 'qftget' to get the files. Used commonly at SDSC to transfer files across DECnet and as a handy way to give someone else a file on the Cray. This includes a VMS and a UNICOS/UNIX version. |
