Title | FLR |
Revision | March, 1991 |
Purpose | Find Library Routine; searches default libraries for name |
Package type | script |
Application area | utility |
Abstract | flr searches all installed library files in the default library directories (see FILES below) for the subroutine, function, or module name specified on the flr command line. The user may optionally specify a list of library directories to search instead of the defaults. The "-v" option may be used to perform a verbose search (this forces flr to use both the ar (or bld) utility as well as the nm utility to search library files). flr is useful when you receive an "unsatisfied external reference" error while using the ld(1) or segldr(1) link editors. The missing library file can be found easily by running flr on the missing routine name. |
