CUG 2010 Call For PapersYou and your colleagues from CUG sites around the world hold the key to sustaining this conference as a source of information and technical interchange. Please begin now to consider presenting at the CUG 2010 conference in Edinburgh. A year passes very quickly and our speaking requests have been growing consistently of late. Please share your experiences and help us work cooperatively toward solutions to problems encountered in the exciting venue of High Performance Computing. If you are not from an active CUG member site, please read Who May Attend CUG conferences before submitting your abstract. Conference Best Paper AwardOn Wednesday May 26, 2010, during the General Session, CUG will recognize the conference's Best Paper. We will announce nominations from each Special Interest Group and then award the conference's Best paper. To be eligible, papers must be submitted in electronic format no later than Monday, May 10, 2010. Technical CategoriesTechnical Presentations are invited in the following suggested categories:
Take note of the presentations given at previous conferences, and discuss possible contributions with your colleagues. Seek advice from the Special Interest Group Chair or Deputy Chair. Work on your idea and prepare a draft to discuss at your home organization. Look for the official Call For Papers reminders you will receive in this fall. New publishing featureEffective October 19, 2009 all CUG Proceedings Papers (past and future) will be published in the public realm of cug.org unless you specifically request your paper be published only in the Members Only realm. When you submit your abstract for CUG 2010, you may select this option on the abstract sumbission form. Help us make CUG 2010 the best yet!Please note: You are "REQUIRED" to submit both a paper and slides for your presentation so that they can be published in the CUG Proceedings on our web server and on CD-ROM. Papers presented at CUG Conferences and Workshops must be original works written for that presentation and should not be works prepared for other conferences or publications. When you are ready to prepare your paper and slides, please read and follow the Instructions for Authors.
