Entry/Exit Requirements for non U.S. Citizens

The entry requirements to the United States varies depending on the country of origin.  Please consult the guidelines provided by the United States State Department at http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html.

Please check with your local authorities to ensure that you have completed the requirements to obtain a visa to enter the United States. These are typical guidelines published on line. Your particular requirements based on origin and citizenship may vary.

Currency Exchange

There are ATM machines in the Bay Area Airports that are convenient points for currency withdrawel. Additionally, San Francisco International Airport also provides currency exchange services.  The ATM machines are available 24×7.  ATM machines can also be found throughout Napa.  Some of the financial institutions in Napa may also provide currency exchange services for a fee.

Arriving by Air

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) currently handles some tens millions domestic and international air passengers a year, which ranks it among the 30 most busiest airports worldwide. There are regular flight connections from San Francisco to destinations worldwide.

Alternatively, travelers may find it more convienent to use one of the Bay Area’s two other airports: Oakland International Airport and San Jose International Airport.

 

Transportation to/from the Airport

Car

From San Francisco International Airport

Take highway 101 North to 80 East.  Cross the Bay Bridge and follow signs to Sacramento.  Exit onto highway 37.  Turn right onto highway 29 north.  Turn left at Redwood Road.  Turn right on Solano Avenue.

From Oakland International Airport

Take highway 880 North to 980 to 580 West to 80 East toward Sacramento.  Exit onto highway 37.  Turn right onto highway 29 north.  Turn left at Redwood Road.  Turn right on Solano Avenue.

The Estimated cost for a taxi is $150.00 each way.  Please check with the taxi service for rates.

Shuttles

Evans Transportation services both San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport.  For a fee of $29.00 one way, you can be taken between the airport and the Evans Terminal in Napa located at 4075 Solano Avenue.  It is possible to make a direct reservation to the hotel  for a fee of $45.00.  Reservations are required.  Please consult the shuttle complany for details.

Super Shuttle services both San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport.  For a fee of $195.00/Oakland $215.00 San Francisco each way, you can be taken between the airport and the hotel.  Reservations are required.  Please consult the shuttle company for details.
