CUG 2013 – local Arrangements

Guests may make reservations by contacting the Marriott Reservations at +1 (707) 253-8600 or online. Click Here to use the online reservation form.

Interest in attending the conference has been higher than anticipated.  As a result of this, we have exhausted our room block and the extension to the block the hotel granted us.  Unfortunately, w are nolonger able to offer the conference rate for any of the conference nights.  Due to other events in the area, hotel space is nearing capacity.  There may still be a few rooms available at the Marriott, but at their normal room rates.  When trying to make reservations, consider other available discounts such as AAA.   We apologize for this inconvienence.

Cray employees should not make individual reservations but instead contact Linda Yetzer @ Cray for reservation assistance.

CUG Night Out

The CUG 2013 Night Out on Wednesday takes you back in time to dine in the Castello di Amorosa (Castle of Love).  A short bus ride takes you through the heart of Napa Valley’s wine industry where you can admire the stunning views of the vineyards and wineries.  As you leave the bus, a short walk takes you back to the 13th century as you enter this authentic castle.  Dinner will be served in the cask room.  Those that fail to obey the Kings rule may find themselves enjoying the comforts found in the dungeon. While at the castle, you will be able to explore the many beautiful features within.

To get a taste of the torture we have planned for you, check out the dinner menu.

Please note, dinner will be served in the barrel room, which is a constant cool temperature of 58 F (14.5 C).  It is recommended to have a light jacket or sweater to wear during dinner. We will depart from the Napa Valley Marriott Lobby between 17:30-17:45.
