Paul Fischer is a Blue Waters Professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the departments of Computer Science and Mechanical Science & Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from MIT and was a post-doc in applied mathematics at Caltech, where he was the first Center for Research in Parallel Computation fellow. His work is in the area of high-order numerical methods for partial differential equations, and scalable linear solvers. He is the architect of the open source fluid dynamics/heat transfer code Nek5000, which is based on the spectral element method. Nek5000 has scaled beyond a million ranks and which has been awarded the Gordon Bell Prize in high-performance computing. It is currently used by over 200 researchers for a variety of applications in turbulent and transitional flows.

Rajeeb Hazra is Vice President of the Data Center Group and General Manager for Enterprise & High Performance Computing Platforms at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for driving the Enterprise, Workstations and High Performance Computing businesses, successfully ramping Intel's new Many Integrated Core (MIC) product line in technical computing and other segments, and leading fabric product development. Before assuming his current position, Hazra was the director of Supercomputing Architecture, where he was responsible for strategic research and development engagements with Intel's supercomputing customers. Earlier in his Intel career, he served as the director of the Systems Technology Lab in Intel Labs (then called the Corporate Technology Lab), where he oversaw R&D in hardware and software-related systems technologies. Hazra also previously served as technical assistant to Intel's chief technology officer. He joined Intel in 1994 as a software engineer in Intel Architecture Labs, working on video compression/decompression technologies. Before coming to Intel, Hazra was with the Lockheed Engineering and Sciences Company based at NASA's Langley Research Center. Hazra holds 16 patents in signal processing and has contributed numerous technical publications to refereed technical journals and conferences. He was honored with an Intel Achievement Award in 2000 for breakthroughs in multiple generations of industry-leading video-compression technologies. Hazra earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from Jadavpur University, India. He also holds a master's degree in computer science and a Ph.D. in computer science, both from The College of William & Mary.

Edward Seidel is the director of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, a distinguished researcher in high-performance computing and relativity and astrophysics, and a Founder Professor in the University of Illinois Department of Physics and a professor in the Department of Astronomy. His previous leadership roles include serving as the senior vice president for research and innovation at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow, directing the Office of Cyberinfrastructure and serving as assistant director for Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the U.S. National Science Foundation, and leading the Center for Computation & Technology at Louisiana State University. His research has been recognized by a number of awards, including the 2006 IEEE Sidney Fernbach Award, the 2001 Gordon Bell Prize, and 1998 Heinz-Billing-Award.

Peter Ungaro serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ungaro joined Cray in 2003 as the senior vice president responsible for sales and marketing. He was appointed president in March 2005 and chief executive officer in August 2005. Prior to joining Cray in 2003, he served as vice president of worldwide deep computing sales for IBM, where he led global sales of all IBM server and storage products for high performance computing, life sciences, digital media and business intelligence markets. Prior to that role, he served in a variety of sales leadership positions at IBM starting in 1991. Mr. Ungaro received a B.A. from Washington State University.
